1 PM  POSTPONED

 Dear Friends,

On behalf of the Board of Directors, our members and supporters, we want to extend our thoughts and prayers to everyone being affected by this current Covid-19 worldwide crisis.  Never before have we been faced with such a scenario.

We at DRCR, have been closely following the rapidly changing forecasts of what’s to come in order to make the best possible choices for our upcoming events, the 10th Anniversary Great Drift paddle and the 6th Annual Mudbottom Music Festival.  The health and well-being of our artists, guests, vendors and volunteers is of the utmost importance to all of us.

Given the latest projections of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) we feel it prudent we cancel both DRCR events scheduled for April.   We will continue to monitor the situation and will notify everyone as new dates are chosen for our wonderful events.  But for now, the 10th Anniversary Great Drift – Saturday, April 18th – is POSTPONED.

We want to thank our event committees who have labored over this decision since this crisis began.  They are dedicated volunteers who work throughout each year to bring people to Dog River so they can learn to value and take care of it.

We in the Dog River Watershed are used to floods and hurricanes and each time we bounce back more resilient than ever.  This too shall pass, our friends.

 Stay safe.

The Dog River Scenic Blueway is a project of Dog River Clearwater Revival (DRCR) promoting stewardship of the Dog River Watershed, cultural and historical awareness, and recreational opportunities for paddling enthusiasts and recreational boaters in Mobile’s urban river and its tributaries.   It is a great way to practice “social distancing”!

DRCR is a 501 (c)(3) organization.
