The 36th Annual Alabama Coastal Cleanup is Saturday morning, September 16th, at Dog River Park from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM.

Help clean up the Dog River watershed!

The Alabama Coastal Cleanup is a statewide volunteer program that sponsors an annual day of removing trash from coastlines and rivers.
Participants pick up litter and debris throughout the Dog River watershed.

Check-in at Dog River Park at 9:00 AM, 2459 Dog River Dr. Grab your gear and get to work removing trash from the Dog River watershed! Tackle a land-based site of your choosing, or do your own shoreline cleanup by boat, kayak, or SUP.

Download the CLEAN SWELL app to track your collection totals.
Trash bags, grabbers, and gloves provided. Wear sunscreen, a hat, closed-toe shoes, long pants, and bug spray. Then around 11:00 AM, drop off your collection haul at Dog River Park, and you’ll receive a t-shirt, water, and lunch for your efforts.

Great opportunity for students to earn community service hours for a good cause!
