ABOUT THE MUSIC JIMMY HALL & FRIENDS

Jimmy Hall initially rose to fame as the lead vocalist, saxophonist, and harmonica player for the Mobile, Alabama-based band Wet Willie. His distinctive style of R&B-infused rock and roll, coupled with his dynamic stage presence, propelled the group’s signature song “Keep on Smilin'” into the Billboard Top 10 in 1974. After releasing seven albums with Capricorn Records, Wet Willie transitioned to Epic Records, where they released the hit singles “Street Corner Serenade” and “Weekend.” Both songs reached the US Top 40, and five additional songs charted on the Billboard Top 100.
Following this success, Epic Records offered Hall a solo recording contract, resulting in two albums in the 1980s. The single “I’m Happy That Love Has Found You” garnered significant attention, leading to appearances on iconic television shows of the era, including American Bandstand, The Midnight Special, and Solid Gold.
Hall’s songwriting prowess is evident in the numerous artists who have recorded his songs, including Gregg Allman, Jason Isbell, The Marshall Tucker Band, Blackberry Smoke, The Amazing Rhythm Aces, and Johnny Russell. Additionally, he has served as a vocalist and bandleader for Hank Williams, Jr. since 1992. www.jimmyhall.com WILL KIMBROUGH & FRIENDS

Kimbrough’s abundant production credits include Shemekia Copeland’s last three albums, America’s Child, Uncivil War, and Done Come Too Far, which garnered two Grammy nominations and multiple wins at the Blues Music and Living Blues Awards.
As a much in-demand guitarist, Kimbrough has played on countless and wide-ranging recording sessions, seen the world from a stage on multiple tours with Todd Snider, Rodney Crowell, and Emmylou Harris, and returned to his Nashville home with an Americana Music Association Instrumentalist of the Year award in hand.
