13th Annual Dog River Fishing Tournament fundraiser
We are excited to announce that DRCR’s 13th Annual Dog River Fishing Tournament will take place on Saturday, October 7th!
We invite all professional and recreational fisherman, women, and children to join us in this fundraising event to benefit DRCR’s mission to improve the water quality of, and access to, Dog River and its tributaries.
This year it is our usual SPECKLED TROUT & REDFISH SHOOTOUT but we’ve also added a FLOUNDER adult category!! There will be CASH PRIZES and other perks!
- Speckled Trout (can be over 22″ slot)
- Redfish (16”- 26”) slot only
- Flounder (adult only)
Lines in at 6:00AM; Weigh in from 1:00-3:00PM at the Grand Mariner Restaurant & Marina 6036 Rock Point Rd, Mobile, AL 36605
Registration closes Friday, October 6th, 2023 10PM. Tickets must be purchased and anglers pre-registered through the Fishing Chaos App. Additional information and official Tournament Rules are published on Fishing Chaos. All proceeds generated benefit DRCR.
ENTRY FEES:
Adult (16+): $35 – Participants under age 18 must have parental consent.
Youth** (ages 15 and under): $15** Youth may fish in adult category by paying adult fee and having parental consent.
PRIZES:
Adult: Cash (1st: $500, 2nd: $250, and 3rd: $100 in Redfish & Trout adult category), ($300 winner takes all in Flounder adult category), a 25 gallon fuel gift certificate courtesy of Dog River Marina & Davidson Fuels (redfish and trout categories only), and a trophy plaque
Youth: Academy Gift Card (1st – $50, 2nd – $30, 3rd – $20) and a trophy plaque
WHERE CAN THE FISH COME FROM? Inshore Alabama public waters ● Mobile & Baldwin Counties only.
CAPTAIN’S INFORMATIONAL VIDEO: Keeping all anglers/volunteers health a priority, an informational video will be posted on our Facebook page by 7PM the night before the event. Viewing is optional.
