Come join the 9th Annual Great Drift Paddle and explore a quiet portion of the Dog River Scenic Blueway inside Halls Mill Creek. Required safety meeting at 1 PM, launch to follow. The site offers plenty of parking.
Bring your own canoe, kayak or stand-up paddleboard (SUP), no motorized vessels. OR, you may rent one from Sunshine Canoes (251-367-4144). Reserve early. On-site help available beginning at noon. This is a loop paddle, beginning and ending at the same location.
The annual Post Drift Party will be held immediately following on site. Food will be available. Picnic blankets and chairs are encouraged. PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR PERSONAL REFILLABLE WATER BOTTLE.
ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST SHOW PROOF OF SIGNED WAIVER available by checking box during online registration or during in-person registration beginning at 12 noon. For online registration click here: REGISTER HERE. While this is a FREE event, donations are welcomed. All proceeds benefit Dog River Clearwater Revival’s mission.
The Dog River Scenic Blueway is a project of Dog River Clearwater Revival promoting stewardship of the Dog River Watershed, cultural and historical awareness, and recreational opportunities for paddling enthusiasts and recreational boaters in Mobile’s urban river and its tributaries. The Dog River Scenic Blueway: a string of sites along Dog River that provide public access to the River and all it’s natural beauty.
