Alabama Coastal Cleanup

Saturday, September 17, 2016      8 AM  – 12 NOON      

Dog River Clearwater Revival sponsors the Dog River Zones of the Alabama Coastal Cleanup. The Alabama Coastal Cleanup is a statewide volunteer program that sponsors an annual day of removing trash from coastlines and rivers. Participants walk along a shoreline or creek bank removing litter and trash. 

Pick a Dog River Zone Cleanup site. Come to that site’s registration on Sept. 17th at 8 AM. Trash bags, cloth gloves and water bottles provided. Wear comfortable clothes, sunscreen, hat or cap, closed toe shoes, long pants. Nice to have: Heavy or rubber gloves, gig, litter grabber or broom stick with nail in end, bug spray. Participants receive lunch, badges (if a scout) and a T-shirt.

Upper Dog River Site (Eslava Creek): Check-in at 8 AM at Dog River Park

Middle Dog River Site (Moore Creek): Check-in at 8 AM at 3633 Lipscomb Landing

6th Annual Dog River

Fishing Tournament 

 Saturday, October 8, 2016      6 AM  – 3 PM
 
 

Lines in at 6AM. Fish can come from anywhere in inshore Alabama waters (Mobile/Baldwin County only). Register online, in person at Southern Bama Bait & Tackle OR at the Captain’s Meeting. Captain’s Meeting will be Friday, October 7th. More information TBA.

Tournament Adult Fee $35, Youth (ages 6-15) Fee $20 and Children (ages 5 and under) FREE.

The proceeds from this event will go towards Dog River Clearwater Revival’s efforts to improve the water quality of Dog River; preserving fun days on the water for future generations.

7th Annual Ghost Chase 5K

and Goblin Gallop

Dockside Marina      4960 Dauphin Island Pkwy

 

The 7th Annual Dog River Ghost Chase 5K River Run and Gobin Gallop will be held on Saturday, October 29th at 5 P.M. 

Spectacular views of Dog River and Mobile Bay from the top of the Dog River bridge make this fun pre-Halloween event one of the most popular fall races in Mobile and Baldwin County. After race party with include food and beverages for race participants.

The 5K race will be limited to 500 participants. Pre-register by mail, in person at McCoy Outdoor or Run-N-Tri in Mobile or Running Wild in Fairhope, or online. Pre-registered: Adults $20, Children (12 and under) $15. Day of Race: Adults $25, and Children (12 and under) $15. Race day registration from 3 – 4:30 PM at the Dockside Marina.
